Hello, my name is Mohamed Kamil T, and I am the owner of the website mohamedkamil.com. I reside in Madipakkam and have been using this domain name for a considerable period of time. Initially, I operated this website as a blog on Blogger. However, I eventually transitioned to a self-branded service website to promote my web-related services in Chennai, such as website development and creating Shopify stores. I was fortunate to obtain this domain because it is extremely rare to obtain a full name domain with a top gLTD, and I also received a twitter handle with my full name, so I began to wonder why I should not run a self-branded service business in Chennai, and thus this current website was born.
Because I run a self-branded website, I realised why not write reviews about places I’ve visited and people I’ve met. I used to write reviews in Google for every place I went, and I figured why not do it here in my personal space?
When there is no solution, ideas emerge. I was looking for a list of Tamil writers but couldn’t find it; it only lists popular writers. Because this issue exists in every industry, I added the People directory type in addition to the Places directory type. It makes sense that there would be a product or service when we had people and places, right? As a result, I added the Product type to the directory. Previously, I added my own services to the home page, along with the locations I serve and the categories in which I work. I then removed it because my profile is available in the People directory and my services are available in the Product directory.
Why am I attempting to display other businesses, people, and products on my personal website?
- With a specific location and category, grouping is simple. Using this directory, I can display a similar list of details.
- As previously stated, end users can easily search for local businesses, people, and products.
- It would be a way to connect businesses with my on-demand service in the future.
- Working with third-party vendors is difficult. They must first trust us in order for this directory to be created.
- I’m trying to provide the information I have, which is limited, but if I have the opportunity to meet with business owners in person, I’ll be able to provide more information.
- My goal is to bring the majority of businesses under my on-demand services to make it easier for end users to cover specific areas in Chennai.
